Buy reinforcing steel

Reinforcing steel can be bought in several ways: through a building materials merchant, a wholesaler or directly from a producer. At Metalfac, wire drawing, ribbing and cutting all happen in-house, so you know exactly who made the product and under what conditions.

That direct contact has a practical advantage: questions about diameter, rib pattern or lead time are answered by people who know the production line itself, not by an intermediary who has to call around.

For an accurate quote we need diameter, steel grade, length or cutting schedule and total tonnage. If you already have that data from the specification or reinforcement drawings, you'll get a usable price fastest.

If those specifications aren't yet available, we help pin them down based on the application: foundations, floor slabs, walls or precast elements each require a different combination of diameter and grade.

Reinforcing steel is available in bars, in coils and cut to size. Standard lengths are often sufficient for smaller sites; for projects with a fixed cutting schedule, custom work is more efficient, leaving fewer offcuts on site.

Our automated cutting machine processes both bars and coils into the requested length, so a single request can cover a complete project.

For sites in Belgium and neighbouring countries we arrange transport to the site, in line with your planning. For larger volumes or recurring deliveries, we work out a delivery schedule together that matches the phasing of your project.

For destinations outside Europe we deliver FOB or C&F via the nearby seaports, with the corresponding export documentation.

Once we receive your specifications, we check them against our production, stock and network of producers and importers. You get a quote with a price and a realistic lead time, not a non-committal estimate.

After approval we schedule production or cutting, followed by delivery or shipment under the agreed terms.
